Together We Can

I love a good challenge, especially when it is one that involves creativity and friends.  Though I haven’t done much online, challenge wise, I have entered a few articles and poems for publication.  And when my daughter tries something creative, I join in the fun.

My most recent creative venture is to write about shoes…

And I was doing a pretty good job of it until I found myself diverted by subjects that are far removed from the friendly, outgoing, eager to be humanized shoes about which I was writing.  As I procrastinate on my entry, I am finding other topics upon which to write – like this one:  Together We Can…

When I first heard the words, I took up pencil (and if you know me you will know that this is something I just don’t do.  Although I love to draw, having visual issues that don’t lend themselves to alignment and depth perception makes sketching my ideas difficult as what I visualize and what I sketch are often quite different)  But I did – I took a pencil and began to draw:  Together We Can Discover.  My daughter, ever the cheerleader, thought it was “beautiful.”  And, it was… okay.

Today I set pencil and pad aside and let my fingers play across the keys... and I invite you to join in the fun too… Together we can…???

Together We Can…

That we are more similar than different

That every journey begins with a step

That courage lives in us

That tears or okay

That love is a gift

That hugs, cuddles, and holding hands work wonders

That laughter is music

Together We Can

Our differences and accept one another

Nature – finding treasures abound

Words, images, sounds, song

Imagination and passion and dreams

Foods – from the sweet to the spicy and everything in between

Life and its lessons

The shadows to find what lies within

Together We Can

In the power of ocean waves and the sweetness of smells

In the joy of freshly washed sheets

In one another’s dreams

In color and texture and materials

In freedom

In Choice

In change

In People

In the consistent and the Unexpected

Together We Can

Our Journeys

Our Wisdom

Our support

Our homes and kitchens and computers

Our ideas

Our dreams

Our worlds…

Our hearts

Together We Can

Make a Difference

Fulfill Dreams

Explore new horizons

Provide comfort

Change the world…

Anything is possible

We can make it so…

TE -- I loved what you wrote. I think "together we can.." is such a great lead in. So, I'll play...

Together we can
Laugh and dance around life's flame
Connected with all who do the same.

Hi TE .. these are wonderful words, and a lovely way to write a post .. words to remember, stories to tell from the memories they engender ..

and I love the Winnie-the-Pooh (84 years old now) quote above, which seems so appropriate to your poem and post ..

Thanks loves this .. and I love your design!
