Bustin' Out

That is right, I am bustin' out the bathing suit this weekend to accompany my daughter to the swimming pool when it opens. Well, she says that we are going to do this; I am not so sure. She loves to swim, is a great swimmer, and yet, is quite fickle about water temperature. If the pool isn't bath water, she would prefer to skate, bike, or do something else. Perhaps this year will be different.

As for me, I am now one of the parents who can lounge in a chair and pretend that I am not listening to the conversations of others; that men are not looking at me; and that I am totally enjoying myself.

A few years ago I bought a bikini that I truly love.
I think I wore it once.
Bikinis and swimming with children do not mix. (Although I am sure that the male life guards didn't mind)
So now I have a large selection of very dull one piece swimming suits which are very suitable for my conservative neighborhood swimming pool. The problem is, my body does not do conservative when it comes to swimming suits! My body shouts - look at me! I attempt to repress it, but I have yet to find the bathing suit that does the job.

So... if my body is going to demand attention anyway, why not wear that fabulous bikini that I love? I don't have to be in the pool with the diva as she is now old enough etc.

I look at the bikini.
I put the bikini on and examine myself in the mirror. I model the bikini for X.
My top is just bustin' out of that bikini demanding attention!

Time to go shopping!

Hey, here I am. I actually visit your site frequently, but without commenting. I have to agree with Eric. A picture would be appropriate...

Ruby - the pool doesn't open until Saturday. I am not sure if the world is ready to see that!

Eric - If I posted a picture, you would have nothing to imagine. I encourage the use and exercise of the imagination.

Bre - Yeah, I might not have it much longer as I am approaching my 40's!

Mr. WriteNow - Your comments are always appreciated. I enjoy reading the male perspective. I do have pictures; maybe a future post? (or not) ;)
