Kissing is a form of art. I am in search of a man who has mastered this art and for whom, the practice of his art is of the highest priority.
In my younger years I didn't fully appreciate the wonder and the art that is kissing. At that time, the concern was more about what came next over enjoying the activity at hand. Now, well, I find great pleasure in kissing and sometimes desire nothing more than spending time with a man and the intimacy of his kiss.
A kiss is an amazing thing. It is a means of communication; a language in which no words are exchanged but in it can be found security, passion, emotion, understanding, among so many other things.
Within a kiss can be found the shadows and nuances of the best black and white photograph or the vitality and passion of the most colorful piece of art. A kiss can heal; communicate love; accelerate passion; or completely repulse. It can be playful or intense; wet or dry; tender or bruising. Within a kiss lies the promise of the future, the lingering taste of the past, and the depth of the heart.
A kiss can bring us to our knees with desire or sound warning bells suggesting or demanding that we go no further. A kiss can also provide us with an escape from our everyday lives - allowing us the opportunity to relax our minds, forget our responsibilities, and lose ourselves within the moment.
Similar to any form of art, a kiss can be good, great, bad, awful, or simply breath taking. it is that breath taking kiss that I seek. The kiss that defies definition. The kiss that leaves one wanting more and yet is complete within itself.
Musicians, poets, writers, photographers, painters, and many other artists have attempted to capture the essence of a kiss. I find that a kiss is both singular and elusive.
And that this, like a kiss, is simply a single note of the composition of a kiss.
