Whisper in My Ear...

Everyday Eroticism

Yes, you read that correctly.

I read somewhere at some point in my checkered past (yeah right) that the tone of voice used can be as seductive as anything else... thus a woman can read a shopping list and communicate desire, demand, passion... you know what I mean.

So I have tried it.

What, you think that I am not going to try something as simple as that? When it comes to ways to drive a man wild, I have been much more creative than that.

One thing I picked up in an acting class was that it is all about attitude.

SO, think sex, think, think desire... and then talk - about anything. It doesn't truly matter.

The hard part is not letting body language come into play.

Seriously, try it over the phone. When body language comes in to play, the man is blown out of his mind with desire (okay, I wish that were the case but, you know what I mean). Body language often follows attitude. If you are thinking sex and desire, chances are that this is going to be expressed in your voice as well as your posture etc.

It works.

No, I am not joking. Try it. I mean, seriously try it. Not as a joke, not thinking, "this is funny," Just try it. You have to let me know how it goes.

However, don't go thinking that men are truly that easy. Okay, according to men I know, they are truly that easy. If a woman wants them, they might just be willing to give her the benefit of the doubt - or consider themselves quite the stud. Either way, it leaves them feeling fabulous.

I think it might work the other way around as well...

Yes, women might be drawn into the desire and emotion conveyed in the voice of a man.

Not that men use this power very often... that would be too easy. They like to make flirting more difficult than it truly has to be. (I love you guys, no worries)

But honestly, I love a guy's voice when it gets that certain something going on. You know what I am talking about... when their hormones color the voice just... so.....

I find myself waiting... watching for the kiss, wanting the kiss... just wanting to be touched. And it is all about the voice. I don't care what he is saying, it is "how" he is saying it that counts.

When used correctly, the voice can be a powerful tool - it can work magic...

And we won't even talk about what happens when that voice, that tone, is whispered into my ear...

goose bumps

Hmmm. Interesting. But I don't think I have the nerve to try this with anyone I'm not already comfortable with. I'm such a chicken.

Oh la la, mon cherie.

Just Run - Then try it on someone you know...

Wombat - *sigh* too bad it doesn't work via text.

I think you need to do do a podcast with said voice.

Wombat said...

Scotty - I second your motion.

Scotty and Wombat - I am not that technologically savvy! My v-mail receives great reviews though!

Wow, you are good! I was getting a semi just reading this. ;)

absolutely agree

combine that tone with the simple word "delighted" and, well ...

Aaron - you know it! I am "Gooood"

Kathryn - Tone - it is all in the tone and the attitude - both can open doors etc!

I am here to help, others, and myself :)

1. You need a microphone
2. Download this software, which is free and will allow you to record sounds on your computer.
3. Record, of course, with your readers in mind.
4. You can save it and link to it here, which is also free and easy to use. This site also has some help.

;)

Scotty - Although we appreciate your help, I do not have a microphone. What to do?

Scotty said...

Easy. Casually ask the folks in your IT dept if they can spare one. -OR- Purchase one, I am sure they can be had for less than $10.

I do not have to try this. I think sex constantly, and it shows. There is no end to the farrah-moans I give off. :)

And yeah, men are that easy.

The Exception said...

Scotty - We shall see - But I am sure that women have used this tactic on you before?

Teri - Do you think they know they are that easy?! :)

Scotty said...

The tactic of luring me in with their voice on a podcast? Nope. Myself (and I think Wombat) are just looking for an example, of course.

cathouse teri said...

Yeah, they know. And they love that about themselves. :)

The Exception said...

Scotty - I think that Wombat jumped ship.

Teri - I suppose we love them for that too.

I can have a somewhat low voice, but really low when I try. When I did the overnight weekend DJ slot at a local country station here, I spoke in a really low tone after one song about 2am one morning...the phone lines lit up and it was all women. It blew me away!!

The Exception said...

Michael C - Not surprised. Usually DJs etc have great voice quality - add some emotion or atmosphere and... it drives the ladies wild!

A guy told me I should do voice advertising - I can't even imagine. The idea of listening to myself kind of freaks me out!

I absolutely have done this before, and it positively works. Well, I'll say that it worked to turn ME on. I'm not so sure about the person on the other end of the phone.

Plus, it was a wrong number. So they probably thought they called a phone sex line, or something. If only it had been a telemarketing person.

I have so fallen for a man when he spoke in my ear--could have been telling me his laundry list--I was ready!! Why is it that it's always the badboys who have the sexiest voices?

I've never tried to talk sexy. I think my voice is too high pitched for it-I'm so average! I know when I answer at work, I always think "smile." This works for me very well, maybe I'll have to think "sexy" next time. LOL Or not, I can just imagine speaking with an alumnus from 1950--he'd think he misdialed:)

The Exception said...

Shanshu - And what would you have done if it had been a telemarketer?

Willow - There are some men's voices that snag me from the moment they begin speaking. I just melt.

You should try it, it might make the day of the man on the other end of the line!
(I slip into flirtatious voice without thought if I like the tone of the guy on the phone, which is not recommended. I have had long, drawn out phone calls with men at airlines, tech support etc and have no clue how to end the call!)

I work from home, so I often have to field a slew of telemarketing calls. Most of the time, it's pretty cut and dry ("No thanks," then I hang up), but once I signed up for a Sunday paper subscription because the sales girl sound like Marilyn Monroe (I was suffering from acute cabin fever that day). I didn't even know what hit me till I got the bill in the mail.

Hmmm. I'll have to try this.

People always ask me when I answer the phone: "Is your mother home?" (Of course, that fantasy can work for some ...)

However, I do have to say that when I am sweet on someone and he calls, he is very, very aware by my voice what I'm thinking about. ;-)

The Exception said...

Kenneth - That was funny! I hope you enjoyed your subscription.

Cat - Thanks for dropping in.

The voice can be so telling for those who are involved or some how connected. It is something that we have lost in e-mail and text - the tone.
