Lost

2 years of pictures....

That is all I used my computer at home for - pictures and digital scrap booking.

Today, because I did not have an external hard drive nor did I have another stick, I lost 2 years of photos when the "Double Agent" completely cleaned my computer to locate and destroy the "Black Cat" virus."

My heart hurts.

So sorry to hear.. I know how much you love pics...

Sometimes hard drives can be recovered, you should call the geeks and look into it.

Sorry to hear. That sort of thing has happened to me years ago. The following week I bought an external drive - A Franklin was about what I spent, but now and forever that is not going to happen again. Burned once, but not twice. I'm not that dumb to let the same mistake happen to me again. I hope not anyway =)

What Scotty said, Exception! Dead drives can be recovered. Better a couple hundred $$ than losing those memories, right?

Thanks everyone.

Today I am buying an external drive, Spy Sweeper, and some program called Trend something. I am playing it very safe now. I am hoping that I saved the pictures on CD - as was my habit at one point. It was ever so hard to watch him insert a disk and wipe it clean - everything gone. Even though I had a few files on my flash drive, the process was a little heart breaking.

Lesson learned!

I need to start printing photos more often as well!

Here's to a good weekend!!
