A Moment in Time

We sit,
In the shadow of a tree
at the intersection
Light breeze blowing but not enough to provide much comfort.
I am working not to cry
hiding eyes behind dark lenses.
She is working to figure out what is wrong.
I am trying to find silence in my heart; trying to find a place of peace
She is trying to learn that sometimes silence is the best medicine; sometimes silence is the love that she can offer.

This is so beautiful and real. What a wonderful tribute to this moment, that can be so painful but also so honest.

This is beautiful, TE. Yes, silence is a necessary gift at times.
