The day has started out perfectly.
The Diva sang happy birthday to me first thing and gave me a big hug - how can a day not be perfect when it starts like that?!
I am sending my dad his "birthday video" which will ensure he has a perfect birthday as well.
My birthday wish this year is that I can make it through the entire day without having to listen to a conversation about how horribly people in this area drive!!

It was a nice day - beautiful weather, only one traffic conversation, and the Diva was on her best behavior even though the chocolate birthday cake kept her up past ten! ;)
I definitely do live near a zoo, if not in it exactly - and the animals minded their manners. They were all preparing for the "speech" this evening!
I did not have strippers and tequila - just chocolate cake, ice cream, and a shared book with the Diva. Maybe next year! ;)
The day without traffic talk was fabulous - Let the complaining begin!
